In early 2005, the general manager of ClubsUnited approached me with a view to converting his old site from static HTML to a new PHP/MySQL style format. ClubsUnited had an existing and established look and feel, so the challenge was to retain that look and feel, but to expand the site to take advantage of the new CMS I was installing, Mambo. After a full weekend, the site was converted to Mambo with a skeleton structure. The new ClubsUnited made a more flexible environment for managing the news sections, adding extra features (like a calendar) and providing a flexible framework for future development.

In late 2005 ClubsUnited has changed to ClubbersGuide and is a popular resource for clubbers, a testament to the work done on the site. The site has been upgraded to Joomla! (www.joomla.org) to further manage and maintain the site.
