One of the small things that prevent the adoption of Joomla! in the enterprise is the integration of the corporate directory service (e.g. Microsoft Active Directory or Novell eDirectory) until recently. So what I've come up with is JAuthTools, or Joomla! Authentication Tools. These are tools available for Joomla! 1.0 and 1.5 that allow better integration for different authentication services. For 1.0 the resources are heavily LDAP based, but moving into 1.5 more research style technologies are available. Check out the website at http://sammoffatt.com.au/jauthtools/ for more information. |
